What people are Saying
We were so excited to learn that our daughter is the National Champion of the Storyathon writing competition in the upper primary category. She only started writing coaching with Amber at the beginning of the year. It’s amazing how much she has improved in just 3 terms. I’m sincerely thankful to Amber for all the effort she has put into bringing our daughter’s writing skills to an extraordinary level. We highly recommend you send your kids to Amber!

You have worked magic! My once reluctant writer son was awarded an ICAS medal in writing today! Koji has a busy mind and used to find it difficult to put his wild thoughts into writing. Thank you for guiding him through a very structured approach, scaffolding his writing with top-class materials and nurturing him in a supportive environment. He particularly enjoys your very engaging narrative plots. Within a short time, he could already take off with his imagination and write freely, full of passion. We have seen significant personal growth in his training through persuasive writing as well - he has become a tough negotiator with well-organized arguments and strong critical thinking skill. As Koji said, ‘Life is not complete without Amber’s writing lesson!’ Koji always looks forward to writing lesson and we are so grateful for having you as his teacher!

My Year 4 daughter has just won the one and only 2022 Year 5 Open Academic Scholarship to a prestigious private girls school! The scholarship will cover the full tuition fees for her next 8 years of education! It is incredible and we are so thrilled and humbled! We want to thank you for your excellent coaching, Amber. You did a marvellous job of teaching her the structure and vocabulary to score well on her test. You really improved her writing in the process. Clever Fox is the best decision I took for my son. Amber is an empathetic and very experienced teacher. My son has been taking writing classes with Amber for over two years now, and his confidence has grown dramatically in writing. He never enjoyed writing at school, and now not only he is learning and enjoying but growing in the process. We always receive constructive feedback, which is key to any learning. Amber is an experienced teacher and she definitely knows how to unlock your child’s potential, not only in English but also in other aspects of learning. Achieving good results is the goal however ensuring children learn with joy is paramount. My two children have been attending Amber's classes the past few terms and I can re- assure you Amber can deliver both. (They received outstanding results in the recent NAPLAN and they love writing). Needless to say, Amber is knowledgeable and well-resourced which comes from her extensive teaching experience. She is consistent with her approach and she knows my children well in terms of their strengths and weaknesses. Her teaching style and interaction with my children and her students are always engaging and thought-provoking. My children found the feedback on their marked homework were precise and constructive which they could focus on the area of improvement. In Amber’s class, you will find all the essential elements to success in English and learning. There is a long list that I can go on for pages. I am confident to say, if you are looking for an English tutor who you can trust, surely Amber is the one as she can deliver what she promises.

Amber has been teaching my 12 yo daughter and 9 yo son for 18 months. They both have improved tremendously. More importantly, they both love English now and are much more confident in their skills. My daughter moved from an average student to receiving the top mark in her end of year English assessment. My son has moved to the Extension English class. Amber has the unique skill to keep young students interested and motivated which is so important. There’s no pressure but the students want to do well and improve each week I would highly recommend Amber to a student of any ability. You will definitely see an improvement in marks and attitude to English
Parent of Year 4 and 6
Thanks, Amber, for the fantastic lesson! I’m sorry I missed it but they both told me they really enjoyed it and learned a lot. I’m absolutely thrilled! S has really struggled with his confidence in writing and I heard he was reluctant at first. To my surprise and delight, he was very quickly and happily engaged and he remained so for the two hours. I’m so relieved that this was a positive experience for him. He said that you were very kind! Both are actually excited and looking forward to next week’s class. I’m keen to enrol my eldest as he really needs to develop his writing skills. Again, my deepest thanks, I’m amazed!
Parent of Year 3 and 4
Our son has been studying with Amber for almost 3 years and now our daughter continues to begin her English and writing improvement under Amber and Helen's teaching. It's really our pleasure to share our deep gratitude to the teachers' caring, professional and great methodology in the last 3 years. Our son now has been an advanced student in his cohort about English writing in which he can express his thoughts academically and properly. One thing that we should highlight is the methodology that Amber uses to teach the kids, which encourages them to learn from her feedback and practice again and again which results in their writing keep improving properly. We're pretty sure that our daughter will also enjoy the journey under Amber and Helen's coaching. Thank you so much for all the great coaching you've been doing for our children.
Parent of Year 3 and 4
With our son's strong school and NAPLAN results we were looking at him trying for an academic scholarship. We thought he had most areas covered but he needed help with his writing skills. After trying two other tutoring establishments unsuccessfully we decided to look at writing lessons provided online and we came across Clever Fox Education. Our son has thoroughly enjoyed Amber's lessons, he looks forward to them each week. The lessons are a structured and engaging way to learn, with feedback provided in a very timely, consistent and constructive manner. All of the above has contributed to the improvement of his writing. Our son was awarded an academic scholarship to a prestigious private school in Melbourne. We believe that having writing classes at Clever Fox for 4 months helped him get over the line for this scholarship.
Parent of Year 3 child
The first thing I noticed about Amber was her detailed feedback, meticulously tailored to suit my daughter's learning needs. Not only this, she responded to my questions with the same level of interest, care and support. This made me rest assured when entrusting my daughter's learning journey to Amber, as I know she will attend to her individual needs. My daughter's writing has come forward in leaps and bounds in a very short time. The materials provided by Clever Fox are extremely helpful, carefully crafted, and outstanding in both content and quality. As a result, my daughter is becoming more familiar with complex sentences and language and is confident when using them in her work. Amber's unwavering encouragement and support has lifted her spirits and I look forward to seeing her continual improvement. Amber's care and sincere concern for her students' growth and development is unparalleled. Like me, you will only wish you occasioned upon her sooner.
Parent Year 6
It’s an absolute pleasure to write this review for Amber and her writing course because it’s truly well deserved! This is, without doubt, the best and most comprehensive children’s writing course you could wish to sign up for. The programme is superbly structured and professionally put together with a lot of thought and care so that children won’t be overwhelmed at the beginning and can progress at their own pace. And just how Amber manages to keep the children engaged for TWO hours is beyond me – but somehow she manages it beautifully in a pleasant, calm and respectful manner – but, at the same time, not allowing any interruptions or fidgeting etc… MANY MANY thanks Amber – as Albert Einstein said, “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge”
